The Story

The strip starts with Tony and Penny volunteering to help the vicar on Christmas Day. They run in to Ivor and Milly and explain that they'll be handing food out to the poor. Ivor turns his nose up and brags that he and Milly are heading abroad on Christmas Day. They say goodbye and wish each other Merry Christmas.

Christmas morning arrives and Ivor and Milly's parents head off, but Ivor and Milly hang back to ensure everything is packed. This includes the kitchen sink. Ivor then tells them all to head off. One of the servants tries to say something, but Ivor gets angry and insists the coaches leave.

As they watch the coaches leave they suddenly realise that everyone including their drivers have gone. The house is locked and all the money has been packed, and they are left behind.

Later that day, Ivor and Penny are finishing up serving the dinner, when the last two to be served are Ivor and Milly. They try to explain that it's all gone wrong, and Tony invites them back to their Christmas dinner at the Broke house. It all ends with a Merry Christmas!
